Below is a list of general Empire Tractor specifications as determined to date.

Serial numbers: Model 88 #0001 - #3000 (estimate) Manf. 10/46 thru 8/47 Model 90 #3001 - #6800 (estimate) Manf. 9/47 thru 1/48

Total production: Estimated to be about 6800 units. It is believed the first 2000 units were shipped to a few south American countries in early 1947.

Color: Red as they came from the factory, although several have been found that are yellow. These were probably painted at a distributor location.

Original Equipment: Toolbox, front headlights, 1-rear fender light, rear pulley, shock absorber seat, Equa-Pull drawbar.

Engine: Willys-Overland 4 cylinder (CJ-2A) Bore & Stroke: 3 1/8 X 4 3/8 Displacement:134.6 cu. in.
Governed Speed: 2000 RPM
Oil filter:Replaceable cartridge type
Ignition:Direct driven distributor, automatic spark advance
Generator:Autolight Belt drive, 6 volt, 35 amp with regulator
Starter:Autolight Conventional type, 6 volt

Governor: Variable speed, Novi. Mechanically operated centrifugal type. Regulation> from 400 to 2000 RPM

Drawbar: Patented Equa-Pull attached to a square bar under tractor between front and rear wheels. Bar is adjustable to left & right. 18 1/2" above ground

Transmission: Warner Gear T-90 3 speed forward, 1 reverse

Transfer case: Spicer 18. 2:46-1 low range & 1:1 high range

Differential: Spicer 25, Conventional hypoid auto type

Clutch: Single dry disc plate, 8 1/2"

Muffler: Reverse O flow type

Final Drive: Roller chain in sealed case. Oil bath lubrication. Small gear - 9 teeth, large gear - 24 teeth, chain - 30 links #80-H roller. 2.67 - 1 reduction. NOTE: Original Model 88 tractors may have had a higher ratio final drive.

Steering: Solid axle type

Power Take Off: Belt pulley (6" wide X 7-1/2" diameter), three speed & reverse

Brakes: Individual clutch type with tie latch. Discs pads are 3/16 thick X 6" O/D X 3-1/8" I/D with 12 rivets.
